研究概要

本研究で我々は、マクロな低強度の刺激によるナノ構造変化の観点から、“ソフトクリスタルのサイエンス”を創出し、そのサイエンスに基づき、新しい機能性素材を開発することを目的とする。重要な特徴は、以下の通りである。(1) 機械的回転(ロータリーエバポレーター・マグネティックスターラー)や機械的振動(振とう機)のようなマクロな低強度の刺激による、ソフトクリスタルの準安定状態創製方法の開拓、(2) 超解像蛍光顕微鏡や赤外分光法を用いたソフトクリスタル相転移現象の評価方法の開発、(3) 適切なモデルの適用によるソフトクリスタル相転移の原理を解明、(4) ソフトな材料との複合化により新規機能を開拓する。これらの研究を遂行することで、ソフトクリスタルの新規創製技術・評価方法を開発し、光機能化への指針を得る。
